Barceloneta – La Gent Gran is a documentary about elderly women and their lives in the neighborhood Barceloneta in Barcelona, Spain. Originally a neighbourhood where fishermen used to live, Barceloneta is nowadays a difficult place for elderly residents as the tourist industry vigorously goes about converting houses into holiday apartments. This documentary gives an intimate insight into the personal lives of the last generation of women still living in La Barceloneta.
